I found out that lots of people either resign or are made redundant at the turning of Chinese New Year. This is because it is a custom to find a new job. I suppose the thinking is, a new year, a new path. I like it. Though I wouldn't like it if I were made redundant every year. Folks are given redundancy pay.
Apparently around this time of year you can see a huge job section in newspapers advertising for new employees.
I thought it interesting and wanted to share :)
